Plans For Roman Reigns’ Return To WWE SmackDown [SPOLIERS]

WWE Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns hasn’t appeared live on WWE television since the Raw after WrestleMania 39.

24 hours before that appearance Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Title in something of an upset. Heading into the bout many believed that Rhodes would be the man to finally dethrone the Tribal Chief but he was thwarted by not only Reigns but the entire Bloodline.

After that night on Raw, Reigns has disappeared from television although his name has remained a regular presence in the storyline featuring The Usos and Solo Sikoa.

Reigns was drafted to SmackDown back on May 28th as the overall number-one pick, and he will now finally return to the blue brand.

In a report on social media, WRKD Wrestling stated that Reigns will continue to lose trust in The Usos, and “take matters into his own hands” at Night of Champions. The show in Saudi Arabia is WWE’s next Premium Live Event and is believed to be the next time Reigns will get in the ring.

The report also notes that a number of NXT stars will make their main roster debuts. It has already been announced that Cameron Grimes will make his in-ring SmackDown debut when he takes on Baron Corbin.

Roman Reigns’ Absence Causes Creation Of New World Heavyweight Championship

Back in April, Triple H announced that WWE would be creating a new World Heavyweight Championship, that has since become exclusive to Raw.

A tournament to crown the inaugural champion is currently underway and Seth Rollins will face the winner of the SmackDown tournament bracket at Night of Champions.
