Bianca Belair Challenges Sasha Banks To WrestleMania Showdown

After almost a month of deliberation, Bianca Belair has finally selected who she’ll face on ‘The Show Of Shows’: Bianca Belair Vs. Sasha Banks is official for WrestleMania 37!

Belair’s decision came on the latest edition of SmackDown after her Men’s Royal Rumble counterpart Edge made his decision in challenging Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber a few days prior. Belair would be interrupted by both Reginald and Banks during her segment but they wouldn’t stop her from revealing that she’s coming for the SmackDown Women’s Championship on April 10th or 11th!

Belair has had several interactions with Banks since winning the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble last month, with the two most recently teaming together to challenge the reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. The duo would be unsuccessful, however, thanks to an unintentional distraction from the lovestruck Reginald who is currently infatuated with ‘The Boss’.

RAW Women’s Champion Asuka was Belair’s other potential opponent – with NXT’s Io Shirai being oddly omitted from the equation despite Charlotte Flair using her Royal Rumble win last year to challenge, and dethrone, then-NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. It’s currently unclear who exactly Asuka will defend against at ‘The Grandest Stage Of Them All’ and whether Shirai will continue the trend of NXT Champions appearing at WrestleMania.
