“LIES” – Tony Khan Blasts AEW All In Report, Takes Jab At WWE President Nick Khan

On April 5th, AEW President Tony Khan announced that All Elite Wrestling would be making its UK debut when the company heads to London, England on August 27th for the first-ever edition of AEW All In.

The show is set to be a blockbuster event, held inside the iconic Wembley Stadium. Though tickets are not yet on sale to the general public, a pre-sale on May 2nd saw over 35,000 tickets sold as fans clamored to be a part of the first AEW event on UK soil.

Following a report from Dave Meltzer about the record-breaking attendance, ESPN’s Mike Coppinger stated that Wembley stadium was only set to hold 40,000 people for All In, comparing the setup to a boxing event held last year.

“Hearing Wembley is scaled for only 40K for AEW – far cry from last April when I was ringside for Tyson Fury-Dillian Whyte and it was packed to the brim with 94,000. Nothing beats the big-fight feel at Wembley”

Khan was quick to respond, calling Coppinger’s report a “load of crap” before insinuating that the information came from rival WWE President Nick Khan.

In a slightly more measured response shortly after his first tweet, Khan continued, asking Coppinger where his information came from and warning him about being a poor representation of his employer.

“Since you carry the credentials of a credible reporter + represent the Worldwide Leader, I’m just curious: who was your source for this, and how can a reporter representing ESPN tweet something about a legit news story that’s so blatantly wrong and easily verified as a falsehood?”

Tickets for AEW All In go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 5th.
