Major Update On Big E’s Return From Injury

WWE Big E

With the WWE Draft just around the corner rumours are flying about potential returns and call-ups, and one of the biggest stories surrounds Big E.

The former World Champion has been out of action since breaking his neck in March 2022 in a match on SmackDown. While there has been no official confirmation that the star is ready to return to the ring, he recently revealed that he has undergone scans that could shape the rest of his career.

With the draft sent to begin on April 28th, it has been reported that the star could be on the verge of a return. WRKD Wrestling notes that Big E is rumoured to be involved in the draft, although it remains unclear as to whether a return to the ring is imminent.

“One name rumored to return during the upcoming draft is former WWE champion, Big E. Big E has been sidelined with a major neck injury since March ‘22.”

Big E Vs Gunther?

On the April 21st episode of SmackDown, Big E’s partner in the New Day Xavier Woods took on Gunther for the Intercontinental Title. Despite throwing everything at the long-reigning champion, Woods was eventually defeated.

Speaking backstage after the match, Woods was in reflective mood, wondering what comes next.

What could come next is a feud between the New Day and Imperium. It has been reported that one pitch made for Big E’s return involves the New Day reuniting to take on the trio. The centrepiece of the rivalry will be a clash between Big E and Gunther.
