Seth Rollins Confirms He’s Tested Positive For COVID-19

Seth Rollins’ place in the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1 might now be up in the air after Rollins confirmed that he has COVID-19.

Way back in October, Seth Rollins won a ladder match on Raw to become the new number one contender to Big E’s WWE Championship. In November, Rollins was told that his title match would come at the inaugural WWE Day 1 pay-per-view to be held on New Year’s Day 2022.

Much to the number one contender’s displeasure, over the following weeks both Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley were added to the bout turning it into a Fatal Four-Way affair for the richest prize in pro wrestling.

However, question marks now loom large over that match and Seth Rollins’ presence in it after the former WWE Champion sent out his weekly message on social media declaring his love or loathing of football but this time Rollins appeared to suggest he’s tested positive for COVID-19:

“Merry Covid Christmas to me!!!! I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!”

If Seth Rollins has indeed tested positive for COVID-19 then it also calls into question the expected bout between Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan for the Raw Women’s Championship at Day 1.

Lynch was one of the originally advertised names set to appear at the Boxing Day show held at Madison Square Garden along with Rollins. Both stars were absent from this show as were WWE Champion Big E and Lynch’s prospective opponent for the night Bianca Belair.
