Bobby Lashley: 2022 Biography, Net Worth, Family, Income
Franklin Roberto Lashley was born on July 16th 1976 in Junction City, Kansas. The son of a United States Army Drill Sergeant, Lashley attended military school where he excelled as a amateur wrestler, later winning three NAIA Titles while attending Missouri Valley College. After graduating from college Lashley followed his father into the military where he also continued his wrestling career. However, his dreams of a spot on the 2004 Olympic team came to an end in 2003 where he witnessed an armed bank robbery and suffered a serious knee injury while diving to avoid gunfire.
Bobby Lashley signed with WWE in early 2005, heading to developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. By the end of September Lashley was called up to the main roster and became a regular presence on SmackDown. The powerhouse won the United States Title in May 2006 before moving to ECW and capturing the ECW World Championship at December to Dismember.
In 2007 Lashley was chosen to represent Donald Trump in the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ at WrestleMania 23. On the night Lashley defeated Umaga – who was representing Vince McMahon – which meant that McMahon had to have his head shaved bald.
After being released by WWE in February 2008, Lashley headed out onto the independent scene while also appearing in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.
During this period Lashley launched his MMA career, before returning to TNA in 2014. Over the next four years Lashley won the World Championship four times, the X Division Championship and became King of the Mountain.
Bobby Lashley returned to WWE the night after WrestleMania 34 in April 2018 where he appeared on Monday Night Raw. Although the star won the Intercontinental Title twice, while picking up the United States Championship, it wasn’t until the star joined forces with MVP via an ill-fated storyline with Lana that his career kicked into another gear.
The formation of the Hurt Business alongside MVP, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin saw Lashley climb into the main event and win the WWE Championship in March 2021. The All-Mighty continued to feud with Drew McIntyre throughout much of the year before entering a rivalry with Goldberg.
In more recent times, the former WWE Champion has feuded with the likes of Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins.
